What about the radiation from the damaged plant? Does it pose an immediate danger to us in the United States? This is where it gets interesting. Whom do you believe? It’s in the best interest of the government to claim there is little danger to prevent panic. It’s in the best interest of the utility that runs the nuclear plant to claim there is little danger to keep their business afloat. It’s in the best interest of the media to get you to tune in and buy papers and magazines so you will see stories that run the gamut from “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!” to “EVERYTHING’S FINE!” Admit it, you want the details of both stories....
