BALANCE

Yes.  Balance IS the Key to Life.

Equilibrium.  Equipose.  Equal distribution of weight.

Simple enough.  Right?
About as simple as an elephant balancing on a ball.  I'm sure he's telling his fellow pachyderms, "Don't do this at home, kids!"

Life is untidy.  A little chaotic.  Rarely in balance.

Are you super ambitious?   Good luck with your relationships.

Determined to spend quality time with spouse, kids, friends, neighbors, community groups. Religious organization of choice & that needy acquaintance who keeps calling you?  Kiss the Nobel Prize goodby,

Okay maybe I'm being a little extreme here.  That's right, these examples are out of Balance!

Check it:

Balance is the dynamic dance of opposites seeking equilibrium.

That's right, balance is DYNAMIC!

Yin and Yang
F = -F
Wave and Particle
And ohhhh yes, Good & Evil
Bwahahahahahaaaaa!

The one constant you can always count on is change.  And change is merely a recalibration of forces at play in:

The Dynamic Dance of Opposites Seeking Equilibrium.

So "change" may knock you off balance or possibly into balance.

But the dance continues.

Let's get literal.

Stand on one leg.

You may think you need to find stillness to achieve balance.  But even if everything appears still there is a constant dialogue between the brain and multiple muscles and nerve fibers in your foot moving forward, back, side to side, constantly recalibrating in...

A DYNAMIC DANCE OF OPPOSITES SEEKING EQUILIBRIUM!

That's balance, baby!

So look at your life, your work, your relationships, your body, your mind , your spirit.

Is something out of whack?

You can always recalibrate.

As long as you can dance.

STOP GETTING SICK!

11/28/2011

You’re doing the best you can, balancing your work, personal life, responsibilities to family, maybe even carving out some special time for yourself for something you love to do.

Time is tight!
Stress is high!
...but somehow you are just managing to take care of everything and BAM!

You get sick.

Oh no.  Not now.  This is the worst possible time.
Possible lost wages or fees
Doctor bills
The cost of medicine
And 2 more things that you just don’t need:

“The perception of other people that you somehow let yourself get sick”
and lastly:
“Lost time.”   Time you can’t get back which throttles up the stress to get back on track.

Everyone tells you what to do, take Vitamin C, drink water, feed it, starve it, pray, chant, ignore it, give in to it, but most of all

“STAY AWAY FROM ME UNTIL YOU GET BETTER!”

And here’s the truth.  Admit it.  You knew it was coming.

Maybe it started as a little tickle in the throat.  A little pressure in the nose.  A funny achiness.  Maybe you picked up your best friend’s toddler who sneezed in your face.  Maybe you were stuck in a small place with someone was coughing and schpuffing and guffing all over the place so that every breath you took was laden with “cooties.”

You always get a tiny little warning.  And almost every time, you think to yourself.  “Oh, I won’t get sick this time.”  And BAM!   You wake up with sandpaper throat or a mucus festival in your nose and maybe that damn cough that makes everybody look at you like you’re something they don’t want to step in.

Here’s the deal.  I’ve got the answer to your problem.  I call it “Nature’s Medicine Chest.”

Recently, I was baby-sitting for my wonderful 2 year old Grand-daughter “Zooey.”  She just started pre-school and you put a bunch of little ones together and you’ve got yourself a giant petri dish.

Zooey was sneezing in my face and getting “stuff” all over me.   Her parents were concerned, I said to them, “Don’t worry, from Zooey, it’s nectar.”

Now when it comes to “goop.”  The “goop” from little ones has nuclear capability.  I’ve seen parents laid out for a couple of weeks from their little ball of happiness.

So, how did I manage to survive Zooey’s nectar?  “Nature’s Medicine Chest.”

Let’s get into it: (if you’re serious about not getting sick, get through this next section)

NUCLEOTIDES (NucleoImmune)
Plant-based nano-protein RNA and DNA that has been purified and concentrated for maximum bio-availability.  These are nucleic acids, the blueprint within our cells that promotes rapid cell rejuvenation, increased vitality and spectacular immune system support.

Nucleotides are stored in the liver and when we suffer trauma, surgery or stress, these building blocks of DNA and RNA are needed immediately for recovery.  Rebuilding our inner supply of nucleotides can take several days, sometimes weeks.

That is why we need potent nucleotides in supplement form to meet the body’s demands to not only repair cellular damage but if taken at onset, it can DEADSTOP a cold or flu before it takes full hold.

ALLICIDIN
Breakthrough new process delivers stabilized Allicin, the active, immune-boosting fraction found in garlic.  Along with synergists, co-factors and transporters Allicidin, is a powerful natural anti-infectant.

A living source extract it has a high capacity for to break down biofilms and cleanse the intestines to aid in healing and immune system support.

COLOSTRUM
Before breast-milk presents, mothers who give birth first secret colostrum, rich in protective life-giving factors and multiple immune system support.    From organically fed cows who are NOT treated with drugs and hormones, this colostrum is carefully air-dried at low temperature and is rich in human-active immunoglubulins.

Immunoglobulins boost the immune system by delivering antibodies to your gut, where they neutralize invading bacteria and viruses, allowing your immune system more energy for other tasks. Unlike antibiotics, which destroy both good and bad bacteria, immunoglobulins only work against the bad bacteria, for optimal immune health.

Okay.  Most everyone is conditioned to look for the single pill or liquid or medicine to magically deal with the symptoms of a total body system in “dis-ease.”  And most products attempt to deal with or mask symptoms.

This is your opportunity to AGGRESSIVELY prevent and/or DEADSTOP” colds, flu and similiar life-stopping interruptions.

Personally, I take Nucleotides, Allicidin & Colostrum daily in a small dose for maintenance and basic prevention.  However, when I am around sick people or under extreme stress or feel that little tickle, I add Cranstat and bump my doses.

Normally, 2 Nucleotides, 2 Allicidin, 2 Colostrum.  1 after breakfast 1 after dinner.

When STRESSED or EXPOSED, time to bring out the big guns:

4 NUCLEOTIDES after breakfast
4 NUCLEOTIDES after lunch
4 NUCLEOTIDES after dinner
4 NUCLEOTIDES before bed.

2 ALLICIDIN after breakfast
2 ALLICIDIN after lunch
2 ALLICIDIN after dinner

3 COLOSTRUM after breakfast
3 COLOSTRUM after dinner

Now don’t freak out.  “Oh no!  So many pills!  It’s too much, it’s too complicated.

You know what.  Get over it.  Take the above dose and stop getting sick.

Do the above for 3 days.  You’ll beat the shit out of whatever is trying to take you down.

The next 3 days,
      2 Nucs 4x a day,
      1 Allicidin 3x
      1 Colostrum 2x

After that you can go to maintenance
1 Nuc after breakfast 1 Nuc after dinner
1 Alllicidin after breakfast 1 Allicidin after dinner
      1 Colostrum after breakfast

After 3 days of maintenance, you can keep going on maintenance or take nothing until you feel you need to.   This is so much easier than it looks.   The first time you do it and find yourself waking up each morning without “hucking” all over the place, you’ll be glad you did.

And don’t worry about overdosing.  It’s safe to take far more than what I’m suggesting.

So there it is.  Nature’s Medicine Chest.  Everyone needs to have these products at their disposal.

Normally, the cost for all 4 bottles is $99 plus shipping and handling.

As a special pre-holiday discount, I am offering all 4 for $85 plus S & H.

That is nothing compared to the cost of getting sick.   I don’t like to push people when it comes to supplements because everyone has their likes, dislikes, beliefs, concerns, etc.  BUT, I am tired of seeing people get sick over and over again when I have something in my hand that has worked countless times for me and others who jump on it.

So jump.  Now.   Make the order, have Nature’s Medicine Chest in your possession before the next tickle, the next co-worker or relative who coughs and sneezes on you.  Have the peace of mind to know you are loaded for bear.  And when the time comes, get aggressive, take your doses and keep on going.

Any further questions, call, text or email.

But don’t sit on this.  Be prepared!

      JAMIE BECHTOLD

Picture

  IGOR SPANIC

I’ve been involved in the fitness & wellness industry for many years, but up til now I’ve been a lone wolf.

Finally, after a prolonged search, I have found 2 unique individuals that I am proud to have as part of the Flashpoint Fitness® Team.

You can read their bios on the website and get an idea of who they are and what they’ve done, but I feel compelled to share with you a more personal experience of them.

First, Jamie Bechtold.  Jamie is one of those rare people who makes you feel better just by walking into the room.    Beyond her obvious attractiveness, she possesses an inherent sweetness that comes for her sincere desire to be of service.   When she is with a client, she is excellent at determining what is needed and derives such joy as they master each successive technique.   What sets Jamie apart is her unique combination of yoga, hoop dancing and sound therapy.  I have seen her working with a woman in her 60’s who in the past, absolutely hates to work out, but Jamie’s got her doing so many cool things with the hula hoop she’s having a blast while losing weight and getting in shape.  And using yoga, tuning forks and crystal bowls, she is helping to profoundly lessen our clients’ stress levels.  Check Jamie out on the Team page and see some of the magic she does with the hoop.   For any age, any fitness level,   I can’t recommend Jamie highly enough.  She will be the high point of your day.

Most people when they see or meet Igor Spanic are somewhat awestruck.   He’s 6’1”, 190 lbs and yoked, as in functionally well-muscled and he is the 6 time Croatian Kickboxing Champion.   As intimidating as his numbers and accomplishments are, Igor is one of the friendliest, most easy-going people you can meet.  Not that he won’t work you hard if you want, but Igor understands that everyone has their own level, their own kind of championship they want to achieve.  And so he makes the workout suit each individual, making kickboxing accessible and fun and amazingly effective to help you get in the best shape of your life.  When you work with a true champion, there are so many secrets and pieces of wisdom you can learn from his experience.  Igor is a blast and the person you want to work with when you’re ready to safely bump to your next level.

Check Igor out on the Team page.  Any age, any level.  He will transform you.

Both new members of the Flashpoint Fitness® team, understand, believe, and walk the walk when it comes to the number one issue of successful fitness training.  Make the workout suit the client.  We are all individuals of different backgrounds, ages, past injuries, likes and dislikes.  And the decision to have a personal trainer can be a life-changing experience.  Especially when you have the right one.   Jamie and Igor are more than trainers, they are exceptional people.   I feel so proud and fortunate to have them on our team.   And I look forward to hearing from all of you out there, with any questions, concerns, and hopefully the willingness to try a discounted first session.

Go to the contact page, select a trainer and ask away.

Fast & Safe Weight Loss - The Phenomenon of HCG

    The Best Kind of HCG

Picture

The Easiest & Safest Way to Re-set Your Hypothalamus

Ok, what's going on here?  Is it hype?  Another miracle diet fad?  Or something to seriously consider?

A lot of people hear HCG and they confuse it with HGH.  HGH is Human Growth Hormone which some
athletes have taken illegally to gain muscle and enhance performance.  It comes from animal hormones
and could potentially have serious side effects.  There is a natural form of HGH precursors from plants
that encourages the body to create it's own HGH which is safe and worth trying, but I'll get into that in
another blogpost.

HCG is Human Chorionic Gonadatropin.  It's a hormone that naturally occurs in men and women, but
becomes most pronounced when women become pregnant.  It was first used for weight loss by Dr.
A.K.T Simeon who experimented with it in the 1950's.  At first, the HCG was injected, but now it can be
taken orally in a homeopathic formulation.

When I first heard that the protocol involved eating only 500 calories a day for either 23 or 40 days
depending on how much weight you have to lose, I thought, "Duh!  500 calories a day?  Of course
you'll lose weight!"  But here's the kicker:

On 500 calories a day, you will be starving, your body will go into starvation metabolism and desperately
try to hold onto fat to survive andit is incredibly difficult to sustain for more than a few days, after which
you'll bump your calorie rate and gain back whatever you lost.

On 500 calories a day with HCG something remarkable happens.  The HCG causes the body to burn
1,400 to 4,000 calories of visceral fat that not only allows you to lose up to a pound a day, but you DON'T
GET HUNGRY!   You can sustain the protocol day after day without going crazy like you would if you were
on a low calorie diet without the HCG.    And there are no side effects.

However, the protocol laid out by Dr. Simeon specifies only certain foods that can be eaten for the
protocol to work.

Recently, I had 4 clients do the protocol.  2 men and 2 women.  In each case, they had emotional issues
with food, have tried every diet under the sun and had just about given up on the possibility of losing weight.
They each lost 20 pounds in a very short time and have managed to keep it off.  To be honest, I was
surprised that each one of these people, who all have compliance issues, were able to stick with the
protocol.

I believe the simple answer is this.  They see fast results and are inspired to stay on track.

GET BETTER OR GET OUTA HERE! Danger!

  You’re about to be attacked!
The Amygdala in your brain goes “Oh Shit!” Your stomach does  flip-flop.Blood, nutrients, and adrenalin flood outward to your arms and legs so you can fight or run. The neo-cortex, rational, command center constricts and blood flows into the back of the brain for quicker reflexes. And it’s GAME ON!ACTION MODE! REACT NOW! THINK LATER! And damn, it is stressful.  Sometimes you go into this stress mode many times within a single day or night because some people have conditioned themselves to perceive almost everything as an attack. Imagine being in an office when the fire alarm goes off every fifteen minutes and you’ve got to get the hell out as fast as you can or you’re gonna get burnt.  Hard to get much done.  And there is a price to pay, as in, your adrenals are shot, your brain is fried and you are completely stressed out.

Now ... what does your body do when it’s recovering from illness or injury or trying to grow and improve? Instead of flowing out to the arms and legs, blood and nutrients move inward to your viscera, that is, your internal organs so they can function at their highest capacity.  The neo-cortex command center is filled with blood and you can calmly and rationally make the right decisions.  Your hormones are balanced and calmly hanging out in your glands in fully supply.  All systems work harmoniously:  respiratory, cardiovascular, nerves, lymphatic, endocrine, excretory.Good stuff comes in.  Bad stuff goes out.  You cleanse, purify, detox, replensih, rejuvenate, heal, grow, OB LA DI  OB BLA DA  LIFE GOES ON RAH!And the longer you are in this mode the quicker and more effectively you will heal and grow.  That is, unless you are suddenly UNDER ATTACK!  Aaaaaugh!  The blood goes out to the limbs again and you know the rest. The point is, your body can only handle one modality at a time.  And yes, we face legitimate threats.

However, we also confjure up, manufacture and stir up threats that don’t really exist, except in our minds.

Breathe.  Meditate.  Chant.  Walk.  Sleep.  Find that happy place in your mnd with bunny rabbits, butterflies, rainbows and unicorns.  The body can only take so much, so give it a break.  If you want the science behind this, check out “The Wisdom of the Cells,” by Bruce Lipton.
And if you want a beyond organic nutrient rich immune system boosting formula with natural stem-cells check this out:GOLD 360
When in doubt, it is better to EAT PRAY LOVE  rather than:FIGHT PANIC FREAK
Just ask your body.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

  • quote by      Lao-tzu  Chinese philosopher (604 BC - 531 BC)
How far do you want to go? Or do you want to stay exactly where you are? Everything excellent you've ever achieved in your life came from a journey of levels.

Beginner – Intermediate - Advanced
Bachelors -  Masters -  Phd
White Belt -  Green Belt -  Black Belt
Employee    Manager     Owner
And within those 3 levels there are many many increments of development.

That's how it is if you want to achieve a high level of wellness.
Beginner -   Cut out junk food, basic exercise, a daily multiple or a couple of supplements.

Intermediate  - Explore organic and health food options, consistent exercise of choice, protocol of several specific supplements.

Advanced -  Pure organic, eating to your metabolic type, vegan or wild and free range protein sources, high level of chosen exercise, comprehensive supplement protocol for rejuvenation anti-aging, detoxification, high quality of life
If someone takes up golf and gets really good, no one questions the purchase of expensive golf clubs, hours spent practising and playing.  If someone becomes a conniosseur or "buff" of some kind, no one questions the purchase of expensive specialty items for a collection.
Why is someone a "nut" for spending extra money on health and wellness?   You use your body and mind every day.  Your success and happiness completely depend on your ability to function at a high level.  But you are not supported by society, friends and family when you treat your health and wellness with the same attention you would spend on a vintage sports car.  The car can get the best gas, fine detailing, customized options and be pampered and appreciated.  Show the same attention to your body and you're considered "selfish."   Well, it is for the "self."    So yeah.   It is "selfish" in the best possible way.
Health and wellness is the journey of a thousand miles that ends for all of us with "a farewell."   Some people have the good fortune of great health for almost their entire lives.  Most people spend a large portion of their lives in pain, discomfort and illness.
What if you were to become a black belt of health?   A phd master CEO of the body mind and spirit.  A true afficianado connoisseur of the magnificence of your being and a joyful practitioner of that which makes it glow, resonate and thrive with a vibrancy far beyond the average for as long as possible.
Why not see how far you can go?   How advanced a practitioner of "life" you can become.   Take the first step.   See where it takes you.

WHERE AM I?

5/12/2011

Picture
The next time you feel anxious or upset, answer this simple question:

"Where am I?"

And if you're honest, you might find yourself thinking:

"I'm back at that intersection where that guy cut me off.   And that jerk flipped me the bird!"

or

"I'm at the meeting tomorrow morning where I'm giving a presentation and I don't have
enough time to prepare and I'm going to get fired and then I won't be able to
afford my mortgage which I can barely handle this month and why the hell did I make
that adjustable rate deal seven years ago?"

or

"I'm, huh?  What?"

Right.  In the past, in the future.  Somewhere else.

The point is.   When you ask yourself the question.  "Where am I?"  It's an opportunity
to pull yourself out of the future, out of the past, out of that unknown dimension and
become fully present.  Right here.  Right now.

It's amazing how we spend so much time somewhere else.  The mind is a skillfull time traveler.  And while your mind is zip-zapping in temporal fantasies, your body is simply going through the motions.

As John Lennon sang in "Beautiful Boy"

"Life is what happens to you
while you're busy making other plans"

Take a breath.  The only breath you can take is the present breath.
Bring your attention back to your breath and there you are.  Back again.
Fully present.  Fully conscious.  Coherent.  Intact.

Yes, sometimes we have to visualize the future as we plan and dream.  Yes, we sometimes have to jump back into the past to process what the hell happened, so we're not stuck.   And to balance it all off, sometimes, you gotta dance in the moment.

Your life is a dynamic dance.  What sights are your eyes taking in?   What sound vibrations are you hearing?   What conscious positive thought can you wrap around yourself that makes you feel grateful for this glorious moment, this wonderful life.

And maybe, just maybe, the next time you ask yourself:  "Where am I?"

You'll smile and say "Right here."

RETURN OF THE PROSTATE

Ask a man under 40 about his prostate and he probably won’t know what you’re talking about.  Ask a man over 40 and he’ll see the nightmarish image of his doctor snapping on a glove and sticking a finger up where the sun don’t shine.  Ask a man over 50 and he’ll probably curse that thing makes him get up a bunch of times during the night to pee. That “thing” is the prostate gland which provides moisture for the urethra and fluid for semen.  And as men get older it has a tendency to get bigger and in the process, it squeezes the already thin tube from the bladder, thus making urination a new adventure. It’s called BPH.    Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.   The Benign part is that it isn’t cancer.  The rest of it sucks. When I crept over the half century mark and began to notice my own signs of BPH, I did my research and found the 4 keys to prostate health.

Competition

5/12/2011

“What is best in life? To crush your enemies. To see them driven before you. And to hear the lamentations of their women…”
— Conan the Barbarian

Okay, maybe this is taking competition a little too far.

Here’s a take from another angle:

“There are two kinds of people: Those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group because there is less competition there.”
–Indira Ghandi

Indira’s subtle dig notwithstanding, is competition necessarily a bad thing? Western culture thrives on it. Capitalism is based on it. Many childhood traumas and adolescent humiliations are the result of it. And yet, if we take competition completely out of the picture, what are we left with? It’s hard to say because, human nature is essentially competitive. Show me someone who says they aren’t competitive and already they’re competing with others who say they aren’t competitive either.

Rather than regale you with easily recognizable examples of the evils of competition, let’s look at two instances where competition is a good thing.

1) Secretly competing against someone you admire to push yourself up to another level.

We all need role models, or at least inspiration. It was commonly accepted that the mile could not be run in under four minutes. On May 6, 1954 Roger Bannister ran the mile in 3:59.4. Shortly after several others ran sub four minute miles.

Or lets put it on a simpler more personal level. Have you ever lost contact with a friend or relative for a while and then when you next saw them, you couldn’t believe how incredible they looked? Maybe they lost weight, gained muscle, or found the path to nirvana. That little competitive bug inside you set you off on a path to lose weight, gain muscle, and achieve nirvana too.

2) Competing against yourself for the challenge and joy of seeing what you are truly capable of doing.

We can certainly be inspired by great athletes, but after watching them we sometimes feel too intimidated or self-conscious to get out there and see what we can do. However, there is always somebody we have a good chance of beating… ourself.

I’m not talking about challenging your former 21 year old self to a hundred yard dash. I’m talking about setting an age appropriate bar for yourself and soaring over it.

On the treadmill? Add an extra five minutes or another level of incline. Taking a yoga class? Add a push up to the vinyasa or hold your one legged poses for two additional breaths. You know what you can do. Whatever your activity, bump it up and leave yourself in the dust. There are few things more satisfying than kicking your own butt and then looking in the mirror and saying, “In My Face!”

And of course, there’s that inner satisfaction of knowing that even though we are getting older… we are getting better.

To your health and happiness:
